I Walk Into Miami, FL!

________________

Jordan graduated from Hamline University in the spring of May, 2009, double majoring in Psychology and Sociology.  After months and months of trying to get into a career he has decided to use his time and energy in fundraising money for Haiti through the non-profit organization Action Against Hunger as he walks from Minneapolis, MN to Miami, FL.  Jordan was drawn to working with Action Against Hunger because he believes that no one should have to worry about not having life's two most essentials: food and water.  He and his family created the organization, I Walk For Love, in hopes of spreading the word of his upcoming adventure.

While Jordan has never taken on such a feat before, he is no stranger to adventure.  An avid explorer, Jordan takes every chance to be in the outdoors and find adventure.  Whether its kayaking in the Boundary Waters, fishing on a remote lake in Canada (only accessible by float plane) with his father, tramping the swamps of North Dakota, or exploring the cliffs of San Diego, he's done it all.  He hopes his upcoming adventure of walking from Minneapolis to Miami will offer him opportunities of new sights and meeting new people.

Jordan trains for his walk everyday, walking around Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis, MN.  He is usually accompanied by one of his four dogs: Pancakes -  a black lab puppy- or his three papillons: Sayzles, Pikachu, and Pudding.  While none of them will be accompanying him during his journey, Pancakes will tag along for the first few miles on March 27th!

Jordan is very excited to start walking and raise money for such a good cause. But even more, he is excited for the opportunity to connect the world together with one simple goal...

Love.
